I swear to god, if this migraine doesn’t stop I’m going to throw it out the window of my second story bedroom, headfirst, into the rain.
It feels like it’s 10 o’clock in the morning right now, but it’s actually after 3pm, I’ve barely left my bed except to take care of Felicity.
Here’s one thing I love about being a mom:
No matter what, I have to get up.
There’s no “I don’t feel like it” or “Maybe tomorrow” or whatever depressing internal diatribe surfaces in my mind. I love having a sense a duty.
Hello, Liv! I’m sorry about the migraine. I’ve never had them, but I’ve heard so many horror stories. And the worst thing is, all you can do is wait for them to go away! It is good to have a sense of purpose. We all need that. And I’m sure your beautiful daughter is still a bright spot in your day. It was nice hearing from you!

Thanks, Bill! It’s gone now, thank god! I hate those buggers. How’ve you been?

Hello, Liv. I didn’t realize until after I had responded that the original post was almost a year old! But I would say a migraine is a migraine no matter when it happens, and I’m sorry you still have to deal with that.
Things are going OK with me. Semi-retirement isn’t always easy but in the long run I’m sure putting up with some crap now will be very helpful later. The long-term big picture is still fantastic, so I’m willing to do that. I’ve surely put up with more for a lot less!
