Good Afternoon, World 🙂
Now that was a vacation.
Cape Cod was fantastic. My husband, my daughter and I spent almost a week splashing in the ocean, drinking pina coladas (not the baby, obviously) and eating some awesome takeout. We even ate lobster, which is something that I haven’t done since I was a kid.
Did you know that in the mid-19th century, lobsters were so cheap that they were fed to prisoners?
I know, crazy. I wonder if they also drizzled them in butter and served them on silver platters, because such a lowly metal can only be used to serve the most debauched of mouths.
I have returned feeling refreshed.
Refreshed, and hungry, but not for scrumptious sea critters.
I’m hungry for butter-drizzled wordcount success.
Which is good, because I have been on a (lobster?) roll for the past few days! (Hahahahahahahahahahaha haaaaa haaa haaaaaaa)
I am on chapter 16 of my outline, finally, thank fucking god. I started this outline on July 18th, 2018, with the intent of finishing it by August 18th – so, one month, #duh – and here we are, on September 10th, and I’m approaching the finish line at an increasingly fast rate. I wrote 2,500 words yesterday, and so far today, I’ve written 1,600 words, not counting this blog post.
We’re doing it, ladies and gentlemen.
We’re making shit happen.
Let’s hit the gas on this project and see what happens.
I hope you’re having a smashing Monday!
